HIBERNIAN MATCH PREVIEW - By John Hoey

City face a daunting task tomorrow night when they come up against high-flying Hibs at Easter Road in the 2nd round of the CIS Cup.

The Hibees have won their two opening league matches and new boss John Hughes is sure to have them fired up for tomorrow night's clash.

City though will be determined to put on a good display and they will be doing their best to come away from Easter Road with a shock result.

Manager Jim Duffy explained,

" We are not going to Easter Road simply to make up the numbers.

We will try to make things difficult for Hibs. We will be organised and disciplined and try to deny them space and generally make things awkward for them."

Hibs have a new manager and have started well and I'm sure they'll have aspirations for a European place and will also be looking for a good run in the cup competitions. However, we'll prepare properly for the match and go there trying our very best to cause an upset."

City will still be without long-term casualties David Murie and David White and Barry Smith is still unavailable.

However, Kevin Byers and Neil Janczyk who both missed out in Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Forthbank are both recovering although the Easter Road tie may come too soon for them.

" Neil and Kevin are both making progress and I'll have a chat with them prior to the kick-off to see how they are, but at this moment in time they'd have to be considered doubtful," said the manager.
