Peterhead v Brechin City - By John Hoey

Brechin travel up to Peterhead tomorrow hoping to maintain their challenge at the top of the Second Division table by coming away from Balmoor Stadium with a victory.

Games between the sides tend to be close and manager Jim Duffy is expecting another tough fixture tomorrow.

“ Peterhead maybe haven’t had the best of starts but there’s no doubt that they’ll be fired up for the game and will be looking to take maximum points.”

“ Every game in this division is difficult, and although we haven’t played well in all of our games so far this season, the players have been working very hard and shown great commitment and I want to see that continue tomorrow.”

“ If we perform to the standard that we’re capable of I feel sure that we’ll come away with a good result but we know that it won’t be easy. We’ll approach this game as we do every game. We’ll be positive in our approach and try our very best to come away with all three points.”

City will go into tomorrow’s game without the services of striker Ian Harty who is suffering from a virus and midfielder Kevin Byers is rated as doubtful as he has a problem with his hamstring.

The good new for City fans though is that midfielder/striker Charlie King who was taken off at half-time in last Saturday’s game after pulling a hamstring has made a good recovery and should be ok.
