DUMBARTON V BRECHIN CITY - By John Hoey

City travel to Dumbarton tomorrow for the second of two difficult away fixtures and will hope to go one better than last week and leave Strathclyde Homes Stadium with three valuable away points.

Manager Jim Duffy will be without midfielder Ian Nimmo who is still feeling the effects of a viral infection and there is also a doubt about the availability of central defender Jon Seeley. The good news though is that defender David Murie makes a return to the squad after a long absence through injury.

When the sides met at Glebe Park at the end of August, City came out on top by 3-1 with Mark Docherty, Rory McAllister and Charlie King from the penalty-spot netting for the home side while Michael Dunlop scored Dumbarton's goal.

The manager is in no doubt that his side face another difficult challenge.

" Dumbarton are on a good run at the moment and are playing well, so tomorrow's game will be another test for us," said Jim.

" With all the rain we've had, the pitch will probably be quite heavy but we will just have to adapt to the conditions."

" We want to try and play a good bit better than we did last week when we drew 0-0 with Cowdenbeath. Up until that point we'd been playing quite well and we want to see a continuation of that type of form tomorrow. If we can play to the standard we're capable of I'm quite confident that we can come away with a good result."
