Brechin boss Jim Duffy said,
" We had a very poor performance against Cowdenbeath a couple of weeks ago, but there were some mitigating circumstances that day with a very heavy pitch and torrential rain but today there were absolutely no excuses."
" We looked as if were treading water from the middle of the pitch to the front area."
" We've had three clean sheets in a row and I've just told the players that they should be picking up more points."
" The back four were excellent and our keeper's hardly had a save to make but we were really poor from middle to front and that's how you win games."
" There was no creativity and the players you were relying on were off form but there were very, very few opportunities in the match."
" A lot of credit has got to go to Arbroath because they played very well and closed us down and we weren't anything near as sharp as we should have been."
" There were bad decisons all round by the players and our final ball just wasn't good enough."
" We did well defensively but we lacked creativity and spark and we've certainly gone off the boil a bit during the last couple of weeks and it's something I'll have to give a lot of thought to."
New Arbroath boss Jim Weir said,
" I've got to be delighted because I haven't had a lot of time to work with the players."
" They've been losing goals recently which has obviously been a concern and it was just a case of assessing what we had during the week. "
" The players worked hard at training on Monday and Wednesday night and I thought they got their reward for that today."
From the goalkeeper right through to the rest of the team I couldn't fault the players effort. In the first-half I thought that they really controlled the game and although we didn't take a couple of chances in the second-half I would hope that that would come with confidence."
" Brechin haven't dropped a point at home all season and in a derby match you know you're going to get a wee bit more commitment and effort. We brought a decent support who got right behind the team which was excellent."
" On the whole I would have settled for a point before the game and although I felt we had more clear-cut chances, a draw was probably a fair result."
