BOBBY Barr hopes to put his recent past firmly behind him after signing for Brechin City until January.

The 21-year-old midfielder — who was the Third Division player of the year last term — has been sent on an emergency loan deal following a series of personal issues with the management at Albion Rovers.

The youngster, who has signed until January 3 for manager Jim Duffy at Glebe Park, said last night: “It’s great to be sorted out so quickly.

“Last week was a difficult week and I’m glad it’s behind me.”

He added: “I’m looking forward to helping Brechin now, they are a decent team sitting third in the Second Division and, hopefully, I can bring something to the table.

“I’m at Brechin now and will then see what my options are in January.”
