STENHOUSEMUIR V BRECHIN CITY
- By
John Hoey
City travel to Stenhousemuir tomorrow looking to pick up their first win in five outings.
Manager Jim Duffy has no injury worries or suspensions and has a full squad to choose from.
The manager was pleased with his side's second-half showing against Clyde at Glebe Park last week and he wants to see that kind of form continued tomorrow and is also hoping that the team can convert some of the chances they have been creating into goals.
" I was pleased with the teams second-half showing against Clyde where we created umpteen chances in front of goal, but we need to start scoring more goals from the opportunities we are creating," said Jim.
" Rory McAllister and Charlie King have scored a fair number of goals between them but I would like to see the midfield coming up with their fair share of goals.
" We face another difficult game tomorrow and Stenhousemuir will be confident after their excellent win at Alloa but we can come away with a good result if we play to the standard we're capable of.
The lads effort and comitment has been second to none but we need to become a bit more ruthless in front of goal and start converting a bigger percentage of the chances we are creating into goals."
