As expected. Saturday’s Active Nation 4th round Scottish Cup tie against Ayr United was postponed this morning following a 9.15am pitch inspection.

With three inches of snow covering the pitch and with a layer of ice lying underneath there was never any chance that the game would get the go-ahead.

The tie has been re-arranged for this coming Wednesday at 7.45pm but as things stand, this game would also be in extreme doubt unless conditions take a dramatic turn for the better. Saturday 16th January has been pencilled in as a standby if Wednesday's game falls foul of the weather.
