Clyde v Brechin City Preview
- By
John Hoey
Manager Jim Duffy is likely to have an almost full squad to choose from for tomorrow's visit to Broadwood with Barry Smith likely to be the only absentee although Jon Seeley's availability has still to be confirmed.
Recent loan signing Alex Walker from Morton and Ian Harty who has returned to the club after his loan spell at Forfar will be added to the squad who travelled to Ayr on Monday night.
The manager is looking forward to the game and feels sure that Clyde will make things difficult for his side.
" The last time we played Clyde we shared four goals in what was a cracking game," said Jim, " and if the players manage to re-produce the type of form they showed in that match then I'll be happy."
" Tomorrow's game like every other one in this division is likely to be close but we are all looking forward to it."
" Clyde have signed some new players, some with First Division experience so we know that they will make things very difficult for us."
" There's not much to choose between any of the sides in this division but we'll be doing our very best to come away from Broadwood with three points."
Clyde manager John McCormack will hand debuts to recent signings Wille Kinninburgh, Adam Strachan and John Stewart.
" It will be up to them to prove their worth and make sure they keep their places in the side, " said McCormack.
" Tomorrow will be a difficult game but it’s good that it’s at home and the lads' spirit is excellent. We need to get three points and start climbing up this league. That’s what it’s all about at the moment and we are completely focussed on that."
The clubs have met twice already this season and City are still looking for their first win.
Way back in September, City travelled to Broadwood and went down to a single goal defeat with Paul McLeod netting the winner for the Bully Wee after quarter of an hour.
The most recent encounter came at Glebe Park on 14th November when Rory McAllister and Charlie King scored the City goals in a 2-2 draw.
