BRECHIN City striker, Steven Hampshire, is presently being robbed by the nation's media.

But the popular frontman hasn't lost cash, but goals, which have simply been attributed to some of his teamates during games during this season.

So for the benefit of every neswspaper in the country and especially Sky Sports News, Steven has scored 14 league goals and three in cup competitions. A grand total of 17 for the season.

Earlier in the season, Hamps was denied goals which were attrbuted to Steve Hamilton, who, ironically, is yet to score his first goal for the club. And the media men were at it again yesterday with Ceefax and Teletext both crediting City's all-important second goal to David White.

So we issue a plea on behalf of one of Scotland's most in-form strikers, please give him the stats, if not the credit he deserves for some magnificent performances through this season.

That's 14 League goals, three in the cups, a total of 17.
