Brechin City ran out 4-0 victors over Montrose FC in todays Forfarshire FA Challenge Cup tie at Glebe Park.

Four first half goals from Calum Booth (2) and Charlie King (2) sealed the game in the first half.

Calum Booth had two excellent strikes from outside the box to score his brace and with Charlie King making no mistake from the penalty spot with one of his goals.

Brechin once again played free flowing football that continued to create chances in the second half that should have lead to more goals.

The squad move into Wednesday's night home friendly with St Mirren with an air of confidence having scored 14 goals in the four pre-season games.
