Brechin City will face SPL side Motherwell at Glebe Park in the Third Round of the CIS Cup.

All ties will be played on 21 or 22 September.

City chairman Ken Ferguson said,

" We are delighted to be in the 3rd Round of the Co-operative Insurance Cup and to be facing SPL opposition at Glebe Park . There may have been more lucrative ties come out of the bag today and that is a disappointment as the chances to make significant money from Cup ties for Clubs at our level come few and far between. Having played Motherwell earlier in the season in a pre-season friendly I am sure the players will be looking forward to the game. Any home tie is a winnable tie and we will be approaching this game with the same anticipation and enthusiasm as shown in the previous round with Dundee ."
