The Co-operative Insurance team of the round has been awarded to Jim Weir and his squad just days after he was given the second division manager of the month honour.

The award was made in recognition of the team's efforts in the astonishing game at Glebe Park on Tuesday 24th August that saw First Division Dundee FC knocked out of the Co-operative Insurance Cup at the second round stage after a 2-2 draw and a 3-1 penalty success for Brechin City.

City hope to take their Cup winning form into Tuesday nights home tie with Motherwell, this game will be segregated with Manager Jim Weir asking for a strong turnout from local fans to give the players the encouragement to perform at their best against SPL opposition.
