OVER THE HILL… AND FARFIR AWAY
Brechin City are calling on all supporters and friends to help the club raise funds by participating in a Sponsored Walk on the day of the local derby with Forfar on January 2nd.
The event is being held in association with the club’s charity partners – Active Nation and Cancer Research UK and the club is pleased to confirm that a donation from the total amount generated will go to Cancer Research UK.
Walkers will set off from Glebe Park and take the Aberlemno road to Forfar before arriving at Station Park in time for the match.
The club feel that this would be an innovative and enjoyable beginning to the New Year and an ideal way to blow the cobwebs away after the festivities.
The club hope that as many supporters as possible will want to be involved, but in order to participate, you have to register, giving your name and address and a contact telephone number.
Supporters can register by sending an e-mail to :-
ghood@brechincityfc.com or by phoning the club’s commercial line on : - 07817 910548
Once the registration process has been completed sponsorship forms will be sent out.
Under 16’s are permitted on the walk by exception only, and only when accompanied by a parent.
Hopefully, as many supporters as possible will take this opportunity to support the club but with weather conditions as they are, the walk will only go ahead if (a) weather conditions are favourable and (b) the Forfar match is ON
If the walk has to be postponed because of the weather or the postponement of the game, it will take place over an alternative route at an appropriate date.
Further information and updates will appear on the website when they are available.
