There is cautious optimism that Sunday's derby match against Forfar Athletic at Station Park may be able to go ahead.

City Secretary Gus Fairlie had a telephone conversation with his Loons counterpart David McGregor this morning and was informed that the Station Park pitch was to be cleared of snow today.

With the thaw set to continue until the beginning of next week at least, the signs are looking reasonable that the game may be given the green light.
