Steven Ferguson
City captain Steven Ferguson has been ruled out from 6 to 8 weeks with a broken leg after hobbling off after 6 minutes against Peterhead last Saturday.
Steven Ferguson was replaced by trialist Richard Walker on Saturday, who slotted into the team well and netted City's equaliser which earned them a point up at Peterhead.
City's management team and officials didn't think the injury was too serious at first and were shocked to hear that it's a broken leg.
This will come as a huge blow to both the club and the player but City have adequate cover, although it's terrible to have a key player out for so long as this stage of the season.
Ferguson was recently appointed as the new club captain by manager Michael O'Neill two weeks ago and now John Ward will captain the side in his absence.
Everyone at Brechin City Football Club would like to wish Steven a speedy recovery.
