Brechin City FC have parted company with winger Ryan Pow, just seven weeks after signing for the club. The former Hibs youngster only made two starts, against Arbroath in the Bell's Cup and Livingston in the CIS Cup and it was clear to see that Ryan would be no more than a fringe player at the club. The club would like to wish Ryan all the best in his future career.

Meanwhile, City gaffer Michael O'Neill has moved quickly to sign free agent Stevie McManus on a short term deal. The midfielder joined St Johnstone on schoolboy forms before advancing into the first team where he made 7 appearances for the club in 2004/05, scoring one goal. However, he was released by the Saints and joined Montrose in January 2006, where he made a number of appearances for the Gable Endies. McManus is only 19 years of age and is described as "a small but skilful central midfield player."

Steve is available for selection against Ayr this afternoon and while has not played first team football since last season, Michael O'Neill believes it will not take him long to return to full fitness.
