Manager Michael O'Neill and assistant Gareth Evans pledged their futures to the club last week when they both signed new contracts after the game with Raith Rovers.

Chairman David Birse said: "I'm delighted both Michael and Gareth have agreed deals with us as we feel they have so much to offer Brechin City.

"We set a target at the start of this season for them both and they have been working tremendously hard to ensure that these targets will be met. We are all delighted with their decisions.

"They work very much as a team and I think we have made steady progress under their stewardship, which will hopefully continue to be the case."

Michael was appointed manager of Brechin in April after the club had parted company with Ian Campbell after a poor run of results which saw the team only win 1 league game last season.

Michael has played in the English Premiership, the Scottish Premier League and boasts 34 caps for Northern Ireland.
