Brechin City today, in a joint deal with neighbours Forfar Athletic, have announced that they have tied up Italian Sportswear giants Macron as their kit suppliers for next season.

Based in Bologna, and kit supplier to the city’s Serie B side, Macron are looking to establish a presence in Scotland, having landed deals with a number of lower league sides down South including Swansea City, Cambridge City, Farnborough Town and Rushden and Diamonds. As well as football clubs, Macron supply kits to basketball, volleyball and baseball teams all over Europe, stretching to Austria, France, Slovenia, Portugal, Belgium, Croatia, Germany, Switzerland, Italy and of course the UK.

Announcing the deal this afternoon, secretary Ken Ferguson revealed that the clubs home kit will be going back to red with a bit of white, therefore losing the black. The away kit meanwhile will be predominately navy blue. He also revealed that Macron would be holding an open evening towards the beginning of the season where a range of club branded Macron leisure wear would be on display, with supporters given the chance to order goods on the night, and in turn boost the clubs bank balance. However, the planning of this is in its early stages.
