Barry Callaghan
City manager Michael O'Neill has snapped up two young players as he puts his finishing touches to the squad ahead of the new season.
Barry Callaghan has joined the club after he was released by Dundee United and can play in a wide variety of positions in defence and midfield. Barry was on loan at 1st division side Queen of the South last season, where he made 10 appearances.
Also joining the club is young goalkeeper Chris McCluskey who also arrives at the club on a free. The former Partick Thistle stopper has returned from a spell in Icelandic football. Chris will be looking to put pressure on established number 1 Craig Nelson.
City manager Michael O'Neill said: "Both have come highly recommended. Callaghan has never quite broken into the United first team and he has come down to us looking to break through.
"He's an excellent footballer and his versatility is a bonus. He can play on the left or right hand side of midfield and can operate in more advanced positions."
Meanwhile, Stuart McCluskey will be looking to put pressure on established number 1 Craig Nelson.
O'Neill said: "Craig was the outstanding keeper in the division last season but needs to be kept on his toes. Chris has an appetite for the game and I received a glowing reference from Alan Main who has worked with him before.
"No transfer fees were involved and they have been very reasonable on wages. There are others I would consider bringing in, but he have 19-20 players and if that is the squad, I will be happy."
