Willie Dyer In Action
Manager Michael O'Neill has extended the loan of left back Willie Dyer by two months to mid December. The loan was due to end after the Queens Park game last week but O'Neill has moved quickly to keep the St Johnstone player for longer.
Dyer made his debut in the defeat to Airdrie United at the Excelsior Stadium but the left back has performed admirably so far. The signing of Dyer has allowed Stuart Callaghan to move forward into a more favoured midfield position.
City manager Michael O'Neill said: "Callaghan has done well for us but he is a not a natural left-back and Dyer will free him to play in midfield where he is more of an influence."
Dyer, on loan from 1st division side St Johnstone, made 3 appearances for the Saints this season prior to signing for City on loan.
Fellow loanee Darren Gribben's loan ends after the Alloa game on the 3rd of November. It is still unknown whether his contract will be extended.
