The re-building job at Glebe Park continues with Manager Barry Smith clinching the signature of left back Christopher McLaughlin, subject to international clearance.

Known as 'Boomer', the 21 year old defender was last with National Premier League Western outfit Stirling Lions in Australia.

Clydebank-born McLaughlin started his career at Dundee United before joining Ross County in 2015. During his time at Victoria Park, he spent a successful loan spell at Forfar Athletic where he helped the Loons gain promotion to League One via the playoffs.

After leaving the Staggies, he signed for Dumbarton and was a regular in the side which finished above City in the Championship in 2017/18, scooping the Sons' Young Player of the Year award in the process before making the move down under.
