The draw for the 2007/2008 Forfarshire Cup has been made and Brechin will meet Dundee at Glebe Park in Round One. A home tie against Arbroath awaits the winners of that tie.

Dundee United v St Johnstone
Montrose v Forfar Athletic

Semi Finals:
Dundee United or St Johnstone v Montrose or Forfar Athletic
Brechin City or Dundee v Arbroath

There is one game still to be played in the 2006/2007 competition – Arbroath will meet St Johnstone in the Final at Gayfield on Saturday 14th July at 3pm.

City were knocked out in the semi-finals of the 2006/07 competition by St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park. The game finished 3-1 to the Saints. Owen Coyle opened the scoring for the home side before Steven Anderson doubled the advantage. Steven Hampshire pulled a goal back for Brechin but Filipe Morais wrapped things up for the Saints with a 3rd.

City had beaten Dundee United 2-1 at home in the first round thanks to goals from Steven Hampshire and Richard Walker.
